CHRISTMAS TOUR OF HOMES

Four homes are selected each year for an afternoon Open House to show the
public a beautiful display of Christmas decorations and lights. It
traditionally opens the holiday season in Hobart. Refreshments are served
each year at the Western Technology Center following the Tour of Homes.
1st Sunday in December, 2-5pm.
ANTIQUE TRACTOR SHOW
Sponsored by Hobart Antique Tractor Club
One of the largest shows in Oklahoma of antique tractors and implements, featuring on-hands activities each day of the 3-day event. The show site is, each year, at the junction of State Highway183&9, 1 mile east of Hobart and the date is the last weekend in April.
ANTIQUE CAR SHOW
Sponsored by the Great Plains Antique & Classic Car Club
This event is held each year at Hobart's Park. The 2-day event features a cruise down Main Street, a dance and dinner on Friday night. Trophies after
independent judging, will be awarded on Saturday. The Paul Hinds
Award is the featured award.
ARTS ON THE SQUARE
Sponsored by the Hobart Chamber of Commerce
The 3rd Saturday in May, on the beautiful Kiowa County Square,
is the site for this longest running, successful show in Hobart's history.
Area artists are professionally judged, and cash awards are presented in
many categories. Artists show original work and offer for sale paintings,
sculptures, and other art works to the phone.
FALL FESTIVAL
Sponsored by the Hobart Chamber of Commerce
This annual event is held in late October. This coincides with
other annual events in Hobart as well. Events include annual Museum bake sale, food booths, craft booths, tractor
show, antique car show, chili and brisket cook off, and outhouse race.
FALL CRAFT FAIR
Sponsored by Beta Sigma Phi
Held annually the 1st weekend in November, at the Women's Exhibit Building of the Kiowa County Fairgrounds. Over 40 vendors from over Oklahoma and Texas are represented. The one-day event offers the opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping at the craft booths.
HOBART POW WOW
Sponsored by Hobart Pow-Wow Committee
Events include native dance, gourd dance, war dances and color guard.
Indian Arts/Craft vendors. Hobart Pow-Wow Committee will have a food
booth.
