(Hobart Main Street and Individuals Receive Awards)
| Hobart was well recognized
last night (3/29/05) at the
Oklahoma
Community Institute Banquet in OKC. Hobart received several
awards for a variety of community involvement categories.
Lou Sims received the Outstanding Leadership Award for his outstanding efforts to our community and to the Main Street Program. The Hobart Main Street Program received the Outstanding Community Improvement Initiative Award. The community of Hobart received the Focusing on the Future Award for being selected in the Oklahoma Century Community Program. It was a great night for Hobart. The awards will be show to everyone at our next Main Street meeting, which will be Tuesday morning, April 12. Thanks to everyone who works in the Hobart Main Street Program and to everyone who is involved in making Hobart a better place to live through city beautification and economic development. All of you are really making a difference in the way Hobart looks and the developments that have been made in our community. All of you can share in this recognition because it takes everyone working together to make positive things happen in Hobart. |
