Kiowa County Courthouse

This is the oldest courthouse in the State of Oklahoma still being used for its original purpose.  Constructed in 1902, the courthouse lawn is the home to many events from Arts on the Square to the Christmas Tree Lighting.

The lawn is also the permanent home to the Kiowa County Tile project, the Chief Lone Wolf sculpture (carved by artist Clayton Coss, Ineola, OK), the gazebo, the newly renovated Cary Nation Water Fountain, the statues commemorating the soldiers and sailors who have served from our county in several wars, and the highly successful Farmer's Market held on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings during the summer months.
