Code Enforcement
As the Department of Code Enforcement Building Official, Daniel Fantinel and his staff are charged with insuring that all aspects of the building industry will conform to a safe and consumer conscience standard. All electrical, plumbing, gas, heating and air conditioning installations are performed by professionals who have been issued a license by the State of Oklahoma in each particular trade. Code requirements must be met and regular inspections must be performed in every stage of construction insuring code compliance and safety for every consumer. The department is also responsible for enforcing all city codes and ordinances adopted by our city council. In addition this department issues building and trades permits, reviews building permit applications, performs abatements on overgrown properties, condemns dilapidated and unsafe buildings, and regulates abandoned vehicle laws within the city limits. These are just a few of the many jobs performed at the Code Enforcement Department. We believe Code Enforcement is all about informing and education the citizens of Hobart while striving to make our community a better place to live.
