Lake Altus (Lugert)

Lake Altus is located in the Quartz Mountain State Park and offers fishing and boating on a 6,260 acre lake with 49 miles of shoreline.

The lake holds two state records for largest walleye (13 pounds) and hybrid bass (22 pounds). There is a trout stream for fishing from November through March 15th of each year.

The surrounding park offers a lodge with an arts and conferencing facility newly constructed in 1999 like none other in the world! A 700-seat performance hall is located across the inlet from the lodge. A challenging 18-hole golf course with pro-shop accompany campsites, picnic grounds, grocery store, and numerous outdoor activities.
