Hobart Main Street Program Design Committee

MISSION STATEMENT:  To provide Design Education and Technical Assistance to downtown property owners for renovation and restoration projects that adhere to the historic preservation of the downtown buildings, to provide financial assistance and incentives to allow downtown property owners to make needed improvements, to provide information about regulations and enforcement ordinances of the city for improvements to be made correctly, and to encourage public improvements in order to make downtown Hobart attractive and pleasing to its citizens and visitors.

Committee Members:  Liz Metcalf, Pat Muldrow, Nate McMurry, Phil Fischer, Bobby Vaughn, and Kathy Smith Chamberlin

The Design Committee is responsible for the Storefront Restoration Grants, Building Renovation Project, Sidewalk Replacement Projects, and communicating with property owners on historic preservation of the downtown area of Hobart.  Work Plans include Highway Information Signs, Applying for MODA Grant, Educational Articles, Fliers, and Workshops, and Streetscape Development.
