Pumpkin Palooza

The 4th Annual Pumpkin Palooza will be Saturday, Oct. 1, on the Kiowa County Courhouse Square in beautiful downtown Hobart.  The Punkin' Chunkin' Contest will be held at the Hobart Regional Airport along HWY 183.  

A fun packed day of games, activities, food, and entertainment for the entire family.  Compete in various games for prize money and watch pumpkins launched at targets up to 3000 feet away.  Chunkers will compete for prize money for closest to the target and for distance.  Pumpkins will be shot at a van for the public to see.  The Chunkers will have an opportunity to shoot at a target for a Hole-in-one Contest for a $5,000 prize.  There will be a pumpkin painting contest, largest pumpkin, Lil' Mr. & Miss Contest, Pumpkin Bake-off contest, and many more activities for all ages.   There will be food and craft booths set up for your enjoyment.  Contact the Hobart Main Street office at 106 W. 4th, 580/726-4206 for more information or to volunteer to help or to request a vendors registration form.

Schedule for the day:

10 am - Lil Mr. & Miss Pumpkin Palooza

10:30 - Games begin that include; Pumpkin Stackin Contest, Pumpkin Bowlin' Contest, Pumpkin Balancing Contest, Pumpkin Rollin' Contest, Pumpkin Bocci Contest, Pumpkin Relay Races, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, Pumpkin Bake-off, and a Pumpkin Patch for chances to win huge cash prizes.

1:30 - Awards to winners

3:00 - Pumpkin Chunkin' Contest at the Hobart Regional Airport

6:00 - Award ceremony for winning Chunkers
