General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute & Museum

A great addition to beautiful downtown Hobart is the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute & Museum, located in the renovated buildings on the 500 block of South Main.  The museum is open 10:00 to 5:00 Monday-Saturday. They close at noon for lunch and hold special hours during the holidays.  Special arrangements can be made by calling 580/726-5900.   Admission is free, and donations are appreciated.  A well-stocked gift store is available at the entrance of the museum for items that you can purchase.  Come experience General Franks' life, and appreciate his outstanding service to our country.The museum’s focus of Leadership, Patriotism and Service houses thousands of items, documents, photos, and video presentations of the life and military experiences of General Tommy Franks.  The different displays portray his childhood, high school and college years, his military experiences and training in the United States Army, his combat campaigns in Viet Nam, Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan and share the lessons he learned.  View his association with the President of the United States, national leaders, and foreign leaders from all over the world.  Items from foreign countries and leaders many of which are one-of-a kind, can be found only in the museum in Hobart.
